Christmas Lights (YOU give ME the scoop!)

There are so many people 1) who have put in a lot of effort into decorating their home & yard with Christmas decorations, & 2) who want to view them but may be unaware.

If you or someone you know has a grand display of Christmas decorations, email me by responding to this email (which is [email protected]) with the address. I will compile a “must see” list for the community and include it in next Saturday’s edition of the NoBo Scoop.

Construction Developments

The Bossier Parish Police Jury passed a motion on December 4th to halt all new residential development in North Bossier for 90-days.

At least from what we understand, there are planned a little over 4,900 additional homes to go in the North Bossier corridor. Another 3,800 hundred homes in the Highway 80 East corridor. And if we just take the simple math of two additional cars per home, we all know that the infrastructure in these areas is taxed.”

“The roads aren’t big enough. The water lines aren’t sufficient enough. The sewer lines aren’t sufficient enough. And our schools in those areas are overflowing with students.”

Patrick Jackson, Parish Attorney

This news follows the Benton-Parish Metropolitan Planning Commission’s passing on December 2nd of the motion to change the zoning of over 150 acres by St. Jude Catholic Church in Benton from Agricultural to Residential & business, with plans to build over 450 new houses and businesses.
