Double Rainbow in North Bossier

On Saturday, December 28, there was an awesome double rainbow over North Bossier after all our rain. I asked folks to send in a photo and said I would include one in this week’s NoBo Scoop. Here is a picture by Valerie Sue from Benton:

Keep Bossier Beautiful

The Bossier Parish Police Jury, in partnership with Keep Bossier Beautiful (KBB), is collecting undecorated Christmas trees at these local parks to benefit the environment through January 9:

  • Parks Rd. Boat Launch

  • Brownlee Park

  • South Bossier Park

  • Tall Timbers Gravel Lot

  • Lake Catherine Boat Launch (Teague Parkway)

  • Mike Wood Park

Lynn Bryan, Executive Director of KBB says the collected trees will go to support the local fish habitat. Sinking a tree in a body of water can create a fish habitat by providing shelter, attracting fish, and becoming a food source for the aquatic ecosystem.

Volunteers are needed to help sink the trees on Saturday, January 11, from 9:00am to noon at Cypress Black Bayou.
